"Underwater People added some serious excitement to our wedding reception. The dance floor was full right up till the end. They had a great list of covers and were even able to do a couple requests of ours that weren't on the list. These people can play! The guests felt like they were at more of a special event and we got a lot of compliments about "the band."

THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you did, because, frankly, it was all awesome.  From meeting with my siblings during the week, the acoustic melodies pre-ceremony, the excellent accompaniment during the ceremony, and the 3 hours of musical mastery with the band - it was all Amazing.  What a blast!

Hey Jacob.  We just wanted to thank you again for playing in our wedding.  Your guitar and vocals were a perfect blend for the moment and set the tone for a great ceremony and overall a great wedding celebration! Jacob Sweet was awesome! They played for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We had very specific song requests and he was able to play them all. He also sent us a list prior to our wedding where we picked from songs that he could play. He is very versatile and can play many different genres of music. During the process he was professional and responsive, easy to work with, and gave us his recommendations on how things should flow. Everything the night of went seamlessly and actually exceeded our expectations.

Guests were coming up to my husband and I telling us how great and talented they were. Two thumbs up and would highly recommend for any event!

Jacob and Scott were absolutely amazing. They kept the reception moving along, people dancing and a general fun, causal atmosphere. People are still talking about them 2 months after the wedding!!! I couldn't be happier with them and will be scheduling for other parties and referring people their way.

Absolutely fantastic. Completely accommodating and played great music the entire night. Our guests were there right until the end at 12:30 and everyone had an absolute blast.

Songlist is completely flexible if desired and they will play anything you request. I chose to put my trust in the band and was not disappointed slightly.

Jake also played classical guitar music during the reception which was perfect.

Definitely recommend Jake and the Underwater People.

Everyone's wedding is special, but the right music and the right band are what turn a wedding into a rockin' party. That's what Jake and his band did for me, my wife and our guests. He and the band were unbelievable. Not only were guests telling us that Jake and his band were the best wedding band they'd ever heard, but the other vendors in attendance shared that sentiment as well. In addition to playing at the party, we asked Jake to play music during our processional and recessional as well. We selected songs we wanted, one of which he learned to play specifically for our wedding, and he nailed it. Jake's a true professional. He plays with heart and emotion, and it comes through with every song. Equally as impressive as he was in delivering on the music was his ability to emcee the party. He knew how to control the event and keep the flow of the party going. He understood when and how to introduce the wedding party, to transition into first dances, to tee up the speeches and to queue the ceremonial blessings. And perhaps the most reassuring part of having Jake handle music duties for our wedding was that he's an expert in anticipating what questions my wife and I would have leading up to the big day. He proactively helped us sort through everything from the 'day-of' coordination with the vendors to helping us structure our 'day-of' itinerary. With so much to think about leading up to the wedding, it was beyond reassuring knowing Jake knew exactly what to do on his end without needing direction from us. Like I said before, he is a true professional. Playing unbelievable music is just half the battle; knowing how to manage a wedding is just as important. Jake gets five stars in both categories.
